Did Dinosaurs live with Humans?

The Delk Track

Here is some powerful evidence that humans and dinosaurs lived together. The Delk Track, which is the stone in the picture above was found Glen Rose, Texas. This fossil slab appears to preserve a size 11 human footprint overlapped by the track of a three-toed dinosaur which is probably a theropod dinosaur. This clear evidence shows that humans and dinosaurs lived together, exactly as the Bible describes.

According to the evolutionary timeline, dinosaurs disappeared about 66 million years before humans came on the earth. The Delk Track presents a direct challenge to that claim because the impressions appear to have been made in the same layer of soft sediment before it hardened into rock.

Critics have often suggested that the human impression was carved or altered after the rock formed. To test that possibility, researchers subjected the slab to a CT scan in 2008. The scans revealed compression features extending beneath both the dinosaur track and the human-shaped impression. Rather than stopping at the surface as a carving would, the deformation continued into the underlying rock, indicating that both impressions were pressed into soft sediment before fossilization.

The dinosaur footprint clearly overlies the human-shaped impression, suggesting the human track was made first while the sediment was still wet, followed shortly afterward by the dinosaur.

The internal structure of the slab strongly indicates the impressions were not carved into hardened limestone, but were formed naturally while the sediment was soft.

From a biblical creation perspective, this fits naturally within Genesis. God created both land animals and mankind during the first few days of creation, so humans and dinosaurs would have shared the earth together before the global flood. A catastrophic global flood would also explain how soft mud could rapidly become buried and preserve footprints before they were destroyed by erosion.

The Delk Track does not stand alone. It is one piece of a broader body of evidence that creationists believe points to recent dinosaur fossils, rapid burial, and the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs.
